The Department of Youth, Family, and Community Sciences recently released their 2013 annual report. The full report can be found here – YFCS_AnnualReport_2013. The report highlights the extension, research, and teaching successes of the department. Of note is the over $5M in grant funds for 2013 with over $18M in multi-year commitments. Faculty had great year with stellar impacts for the youth, families, and communities in North Carolina and beyond. The faculty and staff continue to provide a human dimension for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
Rachel Harris Monteverdi is a graduate of the NC State University Family Life and Youth development program, with a focus on Administration and Leadership. Her coursework empowered her to more fully comprehend organizational systems, effective research and evaluation, along with complex issues in human development. As a result, she brings best practices to the residents of North Carolina through innovative human development programs with Cooperative Extension.
