The Department of Youth, Family, and Community Sciences recently released their 2013 annual report. The full report can be found here – YFCS_AnnualReport_2013. The report highlights the extension, research, and teaching successes of the department. Of note is the over $5M in grant funds for 2013 with over $18M in multi-year commitments. Faculty had great year with stellar impacts for the youth, families, and communities in North Carolina and beyond. The faculty and staff continue to provide a human dimension for the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences.
Sonja Mitchell, class of 2013, earned her Masters of Science in Family Life and Youth Development degree from N.C. State University in December 2013. At her graduation she was awarded the YFCS Outstanding Graduate Student award and the CALS Outstanding Young Alumni Award.
