David Brittain is a Youth Development Specialist with North Carolina State University Cooperative Extension and has worked with the 4-H/Military Partnership since 2000. David is the primary contact for Air Force 4-H clubs and Project Director for the family health and fitness initiative, FitFamily. In addition, David works with the Joint Services Teen Council, Air Force Teen Council, Youth of the Year, Youth Camping Programs and a variety of youth and teen projects on the USAF Headquarters Child and Youth Programs team. David has been a licensed foster parent and is passionate about supporting military families and youth.

Programs and Initiatives

  • Support Air Focre 4-H clubs and provide training and technical assistance to Youth Programs staff
  • Work with Air Force Youth Camping and Youth of the Year programs
  • Work with the Air Force Teen Council and provide training and support for teen leadership programs
  • Contribute to the USAF FitFamily health and wellness website
