Gretchen Hofing is a registered dietitian and currently coordinates the federal nutrition education program Steps to Health, NCSU’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program-Education (SNAP-Ed). As a graduate of Purdue University in food science/foods & nutrition in business, Kendall College’s culinary arts certificate program and the University of North Carolina’s Master’s in Public Health program, Gretchen has had a lifelong interest in foods and wellness working both on the business end of product development as well as the non-profit end with nutrition education. Her most recent professional experiences include Extension Educator in foods and nutrition for Michigan State University and adjunct faculty for Jackson Community College.
